Prayers for Critters too

Like many of you, I am brought to tears each night as I see the horrific scenes from Haiti. The hurt, the sadness, the fear, the despair. I say prayers for them and I am grateful that people have united to help and give comfort.

At the same time I say prayers for all the critters. Being a "critter lover" and being so totally in love with my bunnies, I can't even imagine how many beautiful creatures have been killed.
So.... I have prayers for them too.... I pray the angels are holding them safe and giving them comfort.

Sadly most animals are ignored during times like that, people think "they are just animals", but their lives matter too.

I've been thinking about the critters too -- hope that someone is looking out for them.

Shell, I was just thinking the same thing, remember the poor animals that were left behind in Katrina? Oh my, I cried over the news clips every time they showed them!

Shell, I love that you posted this!! I am ALWAYS so devastated when animals or children are hurt. Those things just hurt me the most! I have always had such a special place in my heart for all animals. I cry every time those abused animal commercials come on!! I cannot stant them! You are a doll and I love ya! Is that your garden statue??? I WANT it!! lol

Thanks for that post Shell, you're absolutely right. Yes, human disasters sadly always means there will be devastation for wildlife and pets alike. But there are some organisations trying to help. If any readers/commenters here would like to donate WSPA have an emergency on-line appeal-

Thank you all for caring

I remember when they brought all of the animals to our area from Katrina. They took care of them then they found them good homes.I don't know what is going to happen this time.

Thank you Shell - the animals are so important and I am sure many people are missing their best friends in Haiti.
I am also thinking about the strays, the unloved and the unwanted animals that so often frequent impoverished places and my heart goes out to them all.
