One peep, Two peep, Three peep

"One peep, two peeps, three peeps, having dinner in my yard.

Papa Goose eats his fill while Mama Goose keeps guard.

Timothy turtle thinks geese are funny,

and Mr. and Mrs. Mallard have a lovely chat with little Freedom bunny."

The fires have been contained. Thank God for sending some rain. The smoke and ash have cleared. All my beautiful critters showed up for dinner on the same night. There was light, love and happiness on my little piece of this earth. It was truly magical and I am grateful for having experienced it.

Happy Friday!
xx, Michelle, the bunnies and all the critters too.

Here's a sneaky peaky of part of my block. You know I had to use wool since I'm loving it so much. But, you can also use fabric if you like.

Here's the Valdani Floss I'm using.

Also, don't forget I'm having a SALE in my SHOP on all the table top stands and wall hangers. They've been marked down 15%.  Hop over and check them out.

Have a fun day!

Bunnyville Olympics -Happy Friday!

We sure have been enjoying the Olympics! Have you? So much excitement and talent at every turn.

This week, Harrington and Hannah wanted to wish you a Happy Friday with some scenes from the "Bunnyville" Olympics. (for those of you who are new friends to our blog, Bunnyville is the name of my studio where I design and Harrington and Hannah live)

First up, we have the "100 Pellet Eating Relay."

Next, Hannah competes in the "Ladies Litter Box Hay Throw."

She grabs...

She extends...

and she throws! Woo hoo! Another excellent hay throw out of the litter box!

Moving on to our next event. Harrington competes in the "Mens Long Yawn."

               He yawns...

            and holds it..
    and holds it...

Checking the score board...Yes! He is still the reigning champion of the Mens Long Yawn!

Our next event is the "Synchronized Leg Lick." The key in this event is to lick the legs in unison while keeping your eyes on the judges.

Harrington shows great form while keeping both eyes on the judges.

While Hannah get's extra points for lifting the leg.

Our final event is the "Flat out Belly Flop."

They competed in pairs

and individually.

Harrington won this event hands belly down. ;)

We hope you enjoyed the scenes from the "Bunnyville" Olympics. I gave them Gold Medals in Cuteness, but then again, they win those every day around here.

Happy Friday!!!

Happy Friday and a Sale

Hello and Happy Friday! Hannah here reporting from Bunnyville. First, Mama wants to apologize for not being around to your blog this past week. She has spent almost 14 hours a day working and is sooooooo tired. Today she is traveling to a quilting and sewing expo to meet some folks and talk about her book. She wants you to know she loves you and misses you and will be catching up over the weekend.

Harrington here, reporting from Bunnyville too. Mama wants to let you know that she has put all the

                    table stands

and quilt hangers on sale! Yes On Sale!

That's right! They are all 15% off in our SHOP. If you've been thinking of getting some, especially with all the blog hops and Christmas projects coming up, now is the perfect time! The sale will be good while supplies last. The discount has already been taken in our shop. We gladly ship to all our friends around the world.

We would like to thank you for all your kind words of support and love regarding the forest fire. They reported, on the local news, that it is 20% contained (mama can't hardly watch the news as it makes her cry). As of this post, smoke is still all around our home. Mama is continuing to feed the peeps, Mama and Papa Goose, Mr. and Mrs. Mallard, Freedom Bunny and some adorable little doves that joined us for our family dinner. She is happy these critters are safe in our yard.  She also bought a little River Birch tree that she has planted in a pot and will enjoy on the patio until Autumn when it is safe to plant it in our yard (too hot here now).

We wish you a wonderful week "end."

Light, love, and hugs to you,
Hannah and Harrington

Critters of the Wood

Today we are so very sad. The local forestry service started a "controlled" burn of the forest on Friday. Why they chose a day full of high and wicked wind is beyond me. Common sense must have been on vacation. Yes, as you can imagine the "controlled" burn became uncontrolled. As of this post, over 22,000 acres have burned.

Our hearts are so sad for all the critters of the wood that are homeless, scared or dead. Our home is surrounded by thick smoke and ash. It's a dreadful kind of death feeling.

Our good friend, RG, of House Full of Rabbits told us that it takes 270 trees per human to erase the carbon footprint we leave behind. Yes, 270 trees per person. Now 22,000 acres of those beautiful trees are gone....gone.....

Today we shall plant a tree in the yard in memory of all the critters of the wood and say a prayer that they forgive the ignorant and stupid humans for yet again destroying so much that is gifted to us. We will water the tree with hugs and kisses and we will watch love grow. We will believe that kindness and doing good things will still win in the end...

Sending light and love...

Purple Peacocks

"Down Briarside Lane, Purple Peacocks are Proud of Their Plumes."

Another project that will be in my book (available next month in my shop). I had such a fun time making this one and I'm so loving the colors. There are no rules with Folk Art. It's suppose to be fun, not fussy, so if you want purple peacocks, you can have them! :) :) :)

The borders in all these project are hand stitched in a primitive style stitch with Valdani 3 strand, colorfast floss.

The wool applique is also hand stitched with Valdani while the black background is machine quilted.

This project was completely inspired by my friend and one of my most favorite artists, Jeri Landers, of Hopalong Hollow. You see Jeri has two peacocks that live at the hollow. She calls them            "The Peabody Boys."

Here they are on the gate while Jeri stands in the garden. Jeri's husband, James, took this photo and I think it is just so magical! I love it! I also love the bunnies cut into the gate!

I know you will truly enjoy visiting with Jeri and all the critters in the Hollow, so hop over and visit. Tell her we said hello!

Have a fun and inspiring day.

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah June Block

Welcome to our June block! Can you believe we are halfway through? This year sure is hopp'in! hee, hee, hee.

This month, Harrington and Hannah welcome all of their friends with warm Southern hospitality. In colonial times, that's what a pineapple symbolized and it still does today.

"I think a carrot would have been a better choice."

Here's what all the blocks look like so far. I must say, I did the happy bunny dance when I put the rows together. I really love this project and I hope you do too. (I just noticed I left the eyes off the bunnies...oops! Let me get my floss and needle.)

Remember, we have floss kits, wool kits and fabric kits available in our SHOP. As always, the patterns are Free and you can join us any time!

Hugs and Happy Stitching,
Michelle, Harrington and Hannah

Gathering Inspiration

When people ask me what inspires my designs, most of the time I say music. I listen to music all day long and find it very powerful. I love all kinds of music and my mood usually dictates what I listen to. Lyrics help me to imagine things.

However, sometimes I need to hop out of Bunnyville, breathe some fresh air, and use my eyes instead of my ears for inspiration. I go gathering.

The "friends entry" to my home.

Then I return to Bunnyville where I turn the music back on and gaze around at the fuzzy inspiration that resides there.

So what inspires you?

The May Basket

A few weeks ago I showed you a sneaky peeky of my new stitchery design. My last name is May, so I thought this was the perfect title for this stitchery.

Stitcheries are fun because they are so portable. If you're like me, I like to have something to work on. Plus, stitching is very relaxing. My fabulous stitching assistant, April Taylor, who stitched this design for me, is always working on something. Thank you April!

I have the pattern...

the Valdani 3 strand colorfast floss kits

and the Natural Color Linen available in my SHOP.

So pack a picnic lunch, go the park, sit under a tree and spend some time stitching. You deserve some fun and relaxation.
